Mindfulness & Meditation Sessions & Training
What is Mindfulness and Meditation?
Mindfulness is the state of being conscious and aware of what is happening at the present moment. It is also the ability to calmly acknowledge/accept the feelings, thoughts, and sensations without judgement.
Meditation is a mental exercise that trains attention and awareness. There are various ways that one can meditate:
What is a Session/Class like?
Based on the client’s preferred modality, Judd Wellness will assist in guiding the client into a deeper meditative state.
For a traditional guided meditation, the client will relax in a comfortable position and the facilitator will verbally guide them through the process of intentional breathing, muscle awareness, and mindfulness. If the client chooses, the session may also include intentional movement, REIKI, sound healing, or aroma therapy.
Benefit
By being mindful of the present moment, it allows one to recognize when they are on autopilot and repeating undesired behaviors; and allows them to change those behaviors at that time, instead of regretting them later. The overall benefit is relaxation of body and mind, often leading to spiritual awareness.

Meditation is a mental exercise that trains attention and awareness. There are various ways that one can meditate:
- Physical exercise such as yoga or intentional movement
- Traditional meditation where one is in a still/comfortable position and focuses on breath
- Guided meditation when the client is guided through the process of focusing on breath and muscle relaxation. This is usually the preferred method for those new to meditation or who have difficulty with staying focused in the moment.
